Range burner won't shut off or heat properly? The infinite switch controls burner temperature. DIY-friendly repair takes about 15-20 minutes.
I ordered the infinite switch control from Appliance Parts Pro on a Wednesday afternoon and it arrived well packaged the next day even though I selected standard shipping. Thank you for the easy ordering and fast delivery! Replacing the old switch was easy: 1. Disconnect the power to the stove 2. Make sure the power is off to the stove 3. Pull 4 burner control knobs off and remove 4 large nuts attached to the 4 burner switches 4. Lift the face plate off and clean previously hidden cooking... Read more
If your dual burner only works on high or won't heat at all, this dual infinite switch kit restores full temperature control. Moderate difficulty install.
Replace dual infinity switch. The only difficulty is the terminal labels on the new switch did not match at all with the terminal labels on the original switch. The enclosed instructions were NOT helpful. But I contacted your representative, Johnny, and he was most helpful and patient. From my model number he located very specific and detailed instructions for how to wire the new switch. The rest of the job was easy. Your representative was outstanding. Thanks. Read more

Convection mode not working or uneven baking? This convection heating element restores consistent heat distribution. Straightforward DIY fix.
I visited Appliance Pros website and indicated the problem we were having etc. Found the suspected part (heating element), went on YouTube and found out how to remove the part from the oven and test it with a multi-meter. Keep in mind I have never used a multi-meter before or made repairs to an oven before. However, I have used Appliance Pros before to fix a refrigerator problem just a month earlier and after watching their video it was a very easy repair. Anyway, I tested the old convection... Downdraft fan not working? This fan switch activates the ventilation system. Moderately difficult repair—requires lifting cooktop to access mounting plate.
I had to take the control board off the bottom of the cooktop and replace the fan switch. The post that fits into the hand switch had broken off. The new switch cost about $35, it was an exact replacement and the whole repair took less than an hour. My wife is very happy because now she can again use the downdraft fan on the cooktop. Thank you AppliancePartsPros. Read more
This is a micro switch that detects whether the microwave door is properly closed and latched. It is part of the safety interlock system that prevents the microwave from operating with the door open. Replace this switch if the microwave does not start when the door is shut, runs with the door open, blows a fuse when the door closes, or stops mid-cycle intermittently.
Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Came up with next control item upstream and tallied that item failure with percentages of successful repairs, (4 mins.) door safety switch. Since I had to change out the most likely of the 3 and since I was already was going to be into the switch panel I ordered all 3 and swapped them all out to cover my butt, as they were... Read more

Burner won't heat or heats unevenly? This 6 inch radiant element restores consistent cooking performance. Typical DIY repair takes 30-45 minutes.
This repair was on a GE glass Cooktop range. This range has two indicator lights, a Burner On light, and a Hot Cooktop Light. The problem I was having was, the Hot Cooktop stayed on all the time (24x7), even when the cooktop surface had been off for hours and was cold. YouTubes that I viewed were all misleading on this symptom. They all pointed to the switch, which is the fix for the Burner Light staying on, not the Hot Cooktop Light staying on. I figured it out by going to the schematic.... Read more

I googled the error code and symptoms my oven was exhibiting to determine the solution and which parts to order. I could have reused the old one because I turned out to be able to remove it without damaging it. I just kept it in case I damage the new one in the future. The “fast” shipping (not overnight) option had the part delivered the next morning, which was a nice surprise. I felt... Read more
