My 18+ year old Jennair cooktop, PN CCG2520W was in need of a rebuild b/c of a welded venturi tube on the right front [RF] burner. In order to remove the glass top cover, you MUST remove the venturi tube. To do this you have to DRILL-OUT the venturi tube which requires a new venturi and orifice holder. While trying to fix the problem I broke the knob. Appliance Parts Pros.com had the part delivered in 2 days! After looking at the video I decided there was a poor ground at burner #1. Removal of burner confirmed my suspicion. Years of use “spills” has insulated the burner from a good ground, thus preventing a good spark. Removal of black residue cleared the problem. Turns out these wall ovens have a pretty common problem, the baking element relay on the back of the control board solder joint fails. We have had this happen on several units recently as we manage several apt complexes. So it was not the baking element at all, just faulty solder joints or something makes the baking element relay lose its solder connection. Read more

The lightbulbs were a problem for me as I did not know if they were 12 V or 120 V. But the interactive parts diagram on the website was very helpful and allowed me to order the correct bulbs very rapidly(120V is correct). They were very easy to change out except for the fact that I needed to have my 12-year-old son do part of it since his hands are smaller than mine.(and it is always good for sons to work with dads even on small projects like this.) They said it would be 2 weeks before a service tack could come out and diagnose problem. Then more time to get part and install. So... did it myself! Read more

Removed the defective burner labeled the leads as to their location and coil connections. Replaced the connections to the corresponding locations, 1 to 1, 2 to 2 and the bridged terminal as it was. I noticed that the coils in the replacement burner were not wound in the same direction as the original burner and made note of this. The video shown was completely incorrect for the gasket needed on my range. I had to remove the door, disassemble the inside panel, and remove the old gasket. I suggest you have assistance when doing this. Putting on the new gasket was challenging but not impossible for a do it your selfer. You should make a video for this gasket so people don't think it is as easy as pulling a few pins around the window!! Read more

Replaced Oven Control Board. I already had removed the old part when I ordered the replacement. Part showed up in 48 hours. It took me about two minutes to install the new part. Tested to make sure it worked, then another 30 seconds to screw the back panel of the stove on. Read more

I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door.
