I replaced the hinges, which involved removing the door by opening it all the way, inserting a small allen wrench into the locking pin hole on each of the two hinges, partially closing the door and pulling it toward me. I then laid the door stainless steel face up on a table, removed the 8 screws from the edge and pulled the bottom of the face up and toward me. I had to take out the bottom drawer that holds pans. Disconnect the power and pull the oven out. Removed door, rear panel that held the screws for the side panel and lift up and out the side panel. After that it was straight forward as to replacing the hinge. Spent more time cleaning the florr where the oven was than installing the hinge. Read more

This oven was a Kenmore model #66595822003. I replaced both spring hinges. This oven was a white oven so it took the MFG# WP8053807 hinge (order two of them). They are the same hinge. No left or right. To get the door off the oven, open the door all the way open, I installed pins (preferably only 1/4" long) in the holes of both hinges. Then remove the spring steel retainers above old hinges in the oven frame. These holds hinges in place. Now close the door until hinge stops on pins. Lift up... Read more

Replaced both hinges... simple repair, took about 20 minutes. My only issue is that I replaced these hinges a year and a half ago to repair the same problem. Seems like Whirlpool could have designed a better door. Read more

I ordered the door hinge cam kit, both the hinge, lower and upper cam. I followed videos found on the web. I would recommend taking the refrigerator door off by removing the upper hinge bracket and lifting the door off the lower hinge. It was much easier to replace the hinge and cam with the door off. One video suggested using Di-electric grease to lubricate the cam surfaces. Read more

Purchased door springs from Appliance Parts pros.com, installed them and door on our Dishwasher was back to normal, Had to pull out dishwasher from under cupboard to get to springs, as they were on the sides of the dishwasher. Read more

Called repairman who said he could not fix it, which I did not believe. Read about issue on line and confirmed the issue to be hinges when disassembled. So after receiving my 2 door hinges, 2 days before est. delivery . All I had to do is take the oven door off, and then remove 4 screws to take the door apart, 4more screws to remove old hinges, replace w/new reassemble and put door back on oven, all in about 40 min. works like new again, Thanks for everything.
