First went through the troubleshooting guide on the website and read the various stories and watched the repair videos for replacing the springs and suspension pads. Then before ordering any parts disassembled the machine only to the point of removing the cabinet to see if there were any obvious issues. I received an email about 2 hours after I received the part that contained the tracking number. That is what is known as quick and reliable service. I ordered the new hinge and the cap they said would be needed, took the door apart and installed new hinge. Only problem, wish they told me I needed 4 of the caps, for one hinge and each cap was 11.95 x 4...pretty spendy. Fortunately I was able to reuse 3 of my worn ones for now. Read more

I unplugged the machine. I removed the two fill hoses. I removed the top of the washer case by removing 3 tamper proof screws from the back ( I used my set of "star" head drivers), sliding the top back 1 inch and lifting the top off. I marked the 4 wires with 1 thru 4 stripes with a marker for ID, then pulled the 4 wires off the landing terminals.
