Removed valve and replaced with new one. Read more

Remove the top panel by removing 3 hex nuts on the back of the washer. Inlet valve was located right underneath the panel towards the back. Remove one screw using a t20 bit and unplug the 2 plugs located on the valve. With a pair of pliers removed a tension clamp and the valve comes right off. Read more

Saw the drip, ordered the part. Unplugged machine from wall. Torx bit on my DeWalt cordless drill to remove the screws securing the lid to the machine, lifted off top cover. Turned off water supply and removed the water supply hoses from back of the machine, used needle-nosed pliers to remove spring clamps from the defective part, removed mounting screw for defective part at rear of machine. • Will not fill with water

Our original discussion with a parts rep. led us to change the control panel as we had tested the valves for continuity and had it. Changing the panel did not fix the problem. As we had power continuity, we then removed the hoses from the cold water valve and checked the flow. The wash fill side of the valve had only a trickle of water, so we ordered a new cold inlet valve and replaced it. Problem solved, washer working like it's new. Read more

Water became visible as it accumulated at the bottom rear part (the part that is tilted back) of the washer drum. I theorized that the valve controlling water flow into the machine was to blame. I replaced the water inlet valve assembly. We have relatively hard water and I assumed that over the years those inlet valves were clogged with calcium deposits which in turn led to the high pitched squealing as water was added to the machine. The hardest part of the entire job was releasing the top of the washer to disconnect the hoses from the valve assembly. Everything else was relatively easy. We simply followed the online video. Researched, then decided to try everything suggested. Cleaned the hidden filter under the washer, checked the lines and the water inlet valves, opened it up and found a hose rubbed thin because it wasn't clipped correctly during the manufacturing process. Replaced the inlet valve, pressure sensor and the thinned tube (all parts except the hose from appliance parts pros.com-had to get the hose at the car parts store).
