Once you are resigned to disconnecting the exhaust fan system under the range so you can remove the range from the surrounding counter, the rest is easy. once out, its 8 screws to remove the top and 8 screws to remove the heating elements, and 2 simple wire conneop back onto the stovectors. Take out three small screws in the front. Then the stove top lifts like a hood on car. Remove 2 screws per row of elements. Then remove the broken top. Install new top. Reverse the previous steps to finish. Read more

Needed to replace burner box panel (pan under electric coil burners) and replace stove top (black panel that surrounds the burners). BB was corroded, had a couple big holes from liquid boil-overs (salted water) from the last 10 years. The stove top looked nasty. It was chipped & scratched badly. When I first went online to search for the cooktop, I pulled up the picture and thought "this won't work for me because the big hole is in the upper right and mine needed to be in the lower left. So I went to the appliance place here in Honolulu to order a black top and they said it didn't come in black. So back to ApplianceParts Pros I went.
