1) Unplug the range and move it out from the wall so both the front and back are accessible.
2) Remove the control panel. There are two screws in the front, one under each end. A shorty Phillips screwdriver is handy here. On the back, find the four 1/4-inch hex-heads that hold the panel. The two on the end must be removed; the two in the middle could be loosened, but I found it just as easy to remove them and get them out of the way.
