Failure to hold temperature after preheating. Michael D. • Wilmington , DE • January 07, 2023
I was getting really frustrated with our oven. It would preheat to the correct temperature, then slowly lose heat until it was down to about 200 degrees. So it took about two hours to heat a pizza!
Finally decided to repair the oven myself, rather than pay $300.00 to have a repair person come out. Ordered the replacement igniter from AppliancePartsPros.com, and it arrived in two days.
I followed the instructional video on the AppliancePartsPros.com website, and it was going well until I...

Left rear variable simmer gas burner on thermador prg364glus stopped working David B. • Lincoln , NE • February 23, 2017
First and foremost, don't believe everything you see on Youtube. In order to get to the gas solenoid that feeds the burner you MUST take the entire top off that side of the range. Remove the grates and burner tops. You will see 2x 20mm brass nut, or so it appears, that hold each burner in place on the splash/drip pan. It is not just a nut, it is a venturi that threads down into what is called the jet holder. You may get a socket on it and think you are getting it loose but, more than likely you...

Two fo the burner retaining clips had broken and one of the burners was malfunctioning Michael G. • Renton , WA • December 05, 2015
It went very easily. The two original clips were riveted in the top but a small drill bit cut the last of the rivit free and the clips remainders just fell out. There was no damage to the stop top. The butner simply snaps in to its socket so that was easy to replace. Pulled the old one out and put in the new one.

Broken jet holder Michael Y. • Hampstead , NC • December 05, 2017
While trying to access and clean brass jet orifices I wrenched the brass nut with chamfer too much (it was seized) and twisted the jet holder to the breaking point and collapsed the main front tubing. I had to hacksaw the rest off. After receiving replacement parts from APPs I was able to reassemble everything in a half hour or so. Genuine Ge part

Part Number: WB01T10049
This machine screw is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used in securing the burner head to the gas range top so that it can be used for cooking. If the burner head becomes loose or the screw is missing, it should be replaced. For safety reasons, the burner should not be used until this screw is replaced; the burner head could shift during cooking and lead to a fire. To start, disconnect the gas and power from the stove to prevent accidental ignition of the burner. Make sure the burners are not hot. Remove the burner grate and burner cap from the burner that is missing a screw. Install the new screw in the hole and tighten it with a screwdriver. Put the burner cap and burner grate back on the stove and reconnect the gas and power. Periodic inspection of the burner heads and all associated screws and parts on the stovetop will prevent accidents and keep the stove working correctly. This screw is a silver, metal part that is sold individually. It is designed for use in gas rangetops manufactured by General Electric and Hotpoint.

Igniter replacement and overall maintenenance Julio M. • Tucson , AZ • February 13, 2017
Second repair after 10 years of service - igniter had cracked and spill overs were causing the others to misfire. This was a two-step process. I took apart the cooktop to see what parts were neded. Screws were all rusted, I had to drill ome out. The burner gaskets broke during the process and needed replacement. One of the burners had deformed due to excess heat. After that initial diagnose, I reassembled the cooktop without the igniters and ordered all the parts I needed. The second stage was...
