Cooktop Valve

Bought a Thermador PRSE48" dual fuel range from Craigslist really cheap because it didn't work. Did a little research and decided to overhaul most of the top (gas) end. For what I paid for it it was worth it and I'd have a good stove with new components. Replaced the griddle thermostat, ignition micro switches, ignition re-igniter box, installed fixing kit with 2 new potentiometers, both solenoids, and gas regulator. Shut off gas. Order part from your helpful (on Sunday afternoon) telephone person. Get part in two days. Replace part. Read more

Removed burners, grates, removed cook top,took screws out from raised trim and wells for burners. Removed electric connection for burner igniters and took gas connection off of valve that goes to burners. Took out screw that holds in gas valve in gas manifold. Replaced gas connections to burners on new valves, installed new valves and trim . Read more

I replaced the gas valve. Worked perfectly just in time for Thanksgiving. The part fit perfectly and was fairly easy to do once i removed about 1000 screws. Removed the burners and exhaust duct removed the top, unplug the stove and turn off the gas. Unhooked the gas from the stove. removed the manifold, removed the bad valve and replaced it. Read more
