To replace the throttle control a pair of pliers is needed. Remove the cable housing using pliers. The housings will swivel off the base and slide down the cable. Next, thread the cable wire through the housing. Locate the wire base on the back of the engine and run the cable through the throttle base and throttle arm. With the throttle all the way down, slide the cable through the housing and into the handle unit to attach it to the throttle handle. Pull the cable with a pair of pliers to make it tight and turn the lock screw. Replace the throttle to test the tension. If the mower, edger, or trimmer is running too high then loosen the cable.This throttle control works with lawn mowers, edgers, and trimmers.
