By reading the forums I first thought it may be the thermostat. I bypassed the thermostat wiring and the dryer still turned off after a few second of running. The second check was for the door switch. I couldn't find an explanation of how to bypass, so I just ordered a new one to try. It worked. Read more

I watched the video at your website. I unplugged the electric first. When I opened up the machine up, It was loaded with lint.I found the source was a hole in the vent tube outside the machine. I fixed that first . The lint had been sucked back into the machine. The first half hour was spent vacuuming out all the lint and then I could proceeded with the motor change. My Electrolux Frigidaire Gas Dryer stopped working and I got an error code E66 that the thermal limiter blew from over heating. The E66 code stops displaying after the initial code and you will then get a door open message. I replaced the thermal limiter and the thermostat just to be sure which part at the problem. The job is hard because you have to take apart the entire dryer and remove the drum. Would be a tough project to complete on your own. Read more

I replaced drum rollers, axle shafts and front bearing kit. Still had noise. Ordered Idler Arm, Belt Tension Pulley & Washers. I ordered parts at 3:30 pm on a Wednesday, received new parts at 11:30 am Thursday. The instructions & videos were very simple to follow and provided excellent tips. Replaced the tension pulley assembly, drum rollers, drum roller axles, belt, and drum glides while I had the dryer disassembled. It turned out that the cause of the squeak was the tension pulley assembly, however it was easy and economical enough to replace anything that could have been the cause of the squeaking while I had the dryer apart. Separated oven door by removing screws. Inserted handle and secured with clips, and reassembledo door with screws provided. In served broiler handle and snappedal into place. Read more

It was easy to find the part on appliance parts pros. Once I found it I studied the diagram and determined that there were 3 screws in the drum that needed to be removed. I disconnected power and then removed 3 interior screws. Once I did that I removed the back cover and removed the single screw on the bottom side of the air duct that held it in place connected to the heat tube. I then reversed disassembly. I manually rotated the drum and could hear a noise in the lower right hand corner of the dryer. I turned off the breaker, removed the front covers to expose the blower fan. Blower fan was no longer attached to shaft and hitting the housing. Ordered a new blower assembly, rear bearing kit and lint filter on Friday at 09:00 AM and they arrived the next day at 13:00 (with standard shipping !!). 15 mins to troubleshoot. 30 minutes to replace parts and re-assemble. Confirmed parts needed through online chat with tech and followed video instructions for dryer conversion. Found a video online for range conversion. Replaced orifices for stove top and adjusted oven burner orifices and air shutters and inverted pin in pressure regulator to natural gas position.
