Crosley Washer Switch

• Won't start
• Timer will not advance
• Will not drain

First I checked the circuit breakers and power to the outlet, then next wanted to check the lid switch, but it wasn't where I had found it on older models. I could hear it clicking on and off as I raised and lowered the lid, but it wasn't visible. I drained the tub through a siphon hose to lighten the machine, so I could slide it away from the wall to better see. I replaced the cycle switch, fixing the lack of heat. The timer switch replacement fixed the auto cool down. I watched a cycle switch replacement on Youtube, demonstrating removal of the top console, which answered the only question I had about the repair. The timer switch was a hundred bucks. The only thing to be said about that is that it was a lot cheaper than a repairman or replacing the dryer. Read more

The E32 diagnostic code that the Frigidaire washer was throwing after a quick water fill attempt was not in the supplied Data Sheet that came with the washer and Frigidaire would not provide and updated Data Sheet because, "it's a liabiliity issue" was their statement, but they did tell me that the problem was in the Fill Pressure Sensor/Wire Harness or the Main Control Board (the display board). Filled tub to about 6 inches and inspected washer. Noticed that the tube leading from the air entrapment bubble on the exterior side of the drum had a small leak in it. Clipped off the part of the tube that had the hole in it(it was very close to the connector nipple) reconnected and problem was solved. Read more

I was looking for a parts sight and found yours. I started to watch all the video tutorials on each part and the "check these connections first video". Well by doing this I was able to find the source of my problem. What I thought was the heating coil not working right, ended up being the timer that was bad!!! I had the problem couple years ago I bypassed unbalance switch it worked fine for a couple years and had the same problem again so ruled out unbalanced switch. Door lock light on and checked made sure wax motor pushed out all the way too the second switch for spin check OK, so took a chance on displacement switch x2. My family loves to over load it and also replaced by passed unbalance switch and boom every thing went back to normal. Its also good to clean every thing when apart. Read more

First I unplugged the power cord for the washer. I removed the back plate of the control panel. Then removed the knob and unscrewed the screw holding the broken pressure switch. I then swapped the three electrical cables one at a time and placed on the new pressure switch. Then I put the screw in to hold the switch in place. I replaced the knob, plugged in the washer and turned it on. The appliance immediately worked. Read more
