Replace your dishwasher's cracked or broken control panel facia. This front-facing trim houses buttons and provides the user interface on your unit.

Removed 10 Star Screws to get the door cover off and the fascia panel snapped off. Inserted the 6 buttons and the door handle into the facia panel prior to snapping it in place. Screwed the door cover back in place and the job was done. The facia has two tabs that need to be inserted into the door. Be careful not to crack them as they seem fragile. After watching an on-line video showing how to replace the front panel of the dishwasher, I put together the right tools (only needed a Torx #T15 star-shaped bit screwdriver) and -- with my wife's help to hold the panel tight to the door -- had the job done in about 10 minutes total. After watching a video on how to replace this part, I was surprised at the amount of disassembley involved to replace the cover. The unit has to be moved out from under the counter about 10 inches to disconnect the door springs before removing the door. Next the hinges and the inner and outer panels have to be separated and then finally you have access to replace the trim panel.
