The root cause was the front glides. They were virtually gone, and the drum was on metal to metal. So I replaced them with a front glide kit. I also replaced the belt, rear rollers, and lint screen. I took the dryer apart.....first had to clean out all the lint here and there. Took the drum out, inspected the belt and back support wheels. They seemed to be fine. The fix involved pulling the top of the dryer off, removing the front and replacing the gasket. You will need to scrape the old gasket off carefully with a dull putty knife. Make sure you order high temp adhesive or find a similar adhesive for the new gasket. Read more

Pulled front cover off of dryer and back plate to get belt on. Remember to always shut breaker off to machine and test to make sure no electricity is running to it. Pretty simple.
