So I noticed a few months ago that the dishwasher door felt a lot heavier than it used to. Then just recently I opened it and heard something snap and the door came crashing down onto my foot! Ouch!! Fix poor cleaning and incomplete draining with this lower impeller and seal kit. Restores water flow from pump to spray arms. Moderate DIY repair.
The pump impeller had sheared its connection to the motor shaft and the seal had disintegrated. Subsequent running had eaten the plastic motor shaft to about 2/3rds of its original diameter. Motor (and shaft) are no longer available so I filled the gouged area with JB Weld and then filed it down to original size. Fortunately the shaft doesn't have to be super perfect because the upper portion of the seal spins with the shaft so it just needs to grip and be concentric. Read more
This is the support shaft that connects the lower spray arm to the pump housing at the bottom of the dishwasher tub. It acts as a pivot point, allowing the spray arm to rotate freely and distribute water evenly across dishes. Replace this part if the lower spray arm wobbles, falls off, or fails to spin properly, resulting in dishes that are not getting clean.
The diffuser has something like a fan underneath that had gone separate from the body. The fan arms were chipped underneath. I thought that might have lead the spray arm to tilt and brush the heat coil, leading to melting on the sides. So, I changed the Diffuser & Lower Spray Arm. I think now the spray arm is parallel and staying above the heat coil. Hopefully it stays that way! Read more
This is an electronic display control board for a dishwasher, and it includes mounting screws. It manages the user interface display and communicates cycle selections to the main control board. Replace this board if the display is blank, unresponsive, shows error codes, or if buttons no longer register when pressed.
Bought a new control board and keyboard... I suggest buying the keyboard as well mine was hard-wired together so I would have had to order the keyboard and wait had I not ordered it with the control board... easy to change, had it running in no time Read more
