The Refrigerator Door Gasket is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It provides a tight seal around the refrigerator door, ensuring that cold air stays inside and warm air stays out, maintaining optimal temperatures for food preservation. The gasket measures approximately 29-1/2" wide x 44" long.
Causes of a bad door gasket can include wear and tear over time, damage from frequent opening and closing of the door, or improper cleaning that leads to cracks or tears. A compromised gasket can lead to energy inefficiency and affect the refrigerator's performance.
Symptoms of a bad door gasket include:
- Noticeable gaps between the door and the refrigerator
- Increased energy consumption
- Frost buildup around the door seal
- Difficulty in closing the refrigerator door properly
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.
