While trying to fix the problem I broke the knob. Appliance Parts Pros.com had the part delivered in 2 days! After looking at the video I decided there was a poor ground at burner #1. Removal of burner confirmed my suspicion. Years of use “spills” has insulated the burner from a good ground, thus preventing a good spark. Removal of black residue cleared the problem. I am now in the process of cleaning the remaining 4 burners just to be sure. Read more

The glass was easily replaced. Just a few screws to remove cover then remove bad glass then i dropped in the replacement glass then reinstalled cover. Ithen put the door back in the stove. 15 minute job!!! I was so surprised to see how easy it was!!! Thanks! Part fit perfectly!!! Read more

I cannot believe how fast shipping was!! I ordered Wednesday afternoon and parts were on my porch before lunch Thursday. Wow that was fast. I took my wife to lunch we discussed the repair our oven door was replaced years ago and now has black handle. I was thinking about spray painting handles but my wife talked me out of it. I called GE and they sent a tech out. $89 service call. Had I REALLY inspected the oven the hidden element had blown and separated and part of it welded itself to the inside of it's compartment. GE wanted another $350 to come back and fix it. I bought the part here for around $55 and had it running again in about an hour! Read more

The video shown was completely incorrect for the gasket needed on my range. I had to remove the door, disassemble the inside panel, and remove the old gasket. I suggest you have assistance when doing this. Putting on the new gasket was challenging but not impossible for a do it your selfer. You should make a video for this gasket so people don't think it is as easy as pulling a few pins around the window!! Read more
