Burner head sits on top of the burner base on gas cooktops. Replace if warped, cracked, or causing uneven flame distribution across the burner surface.
I examined the inner burner heads and determined that two of the most frequently used burners were warped and were not making good contact with the burner base. It's a GE Profile series stove about 10 -12 years old. I checked the GE Parts website, and they wanted almost $100 for the large burner head but didn't even have the small one at all, saying it was no longer available. By Googling the parts numbers, I found Appliance Part Pros, and they had both burner heads available. They were still a... Read more
10-32 machine screw secures panels, brackets, door hinges, and handles in ovens and ranges. Replace missing, stripped, or broken screws for tight fit.
All of the information on the web repair sites said "replace the hinges as the springs are worn out." Didn't fix the problem. The top of the door still wouldn't seal, and the. Leaning latch wouldn't catch the door unless you pressed on the door. The inside panel of the door was fatigued. Too many turkeys were set on the door over the years. The hinges are attached to that inside panel, so the stress points were bent over time. I replaced the inside steel panel. Took about an hour. Was able... Read more
Ranges, wall ovens, and microwaves require a hub blade assembly in order to operate efficiently. The hub blade works inside the device to help with the various heating cycles. The oven was so loud, it was hard to talk to someone in the kitchen. We replaced the motor and the fan blade. 1. Turn off power to the oven. 2. Remove the oven doors 3. Remove the cover for the fan. 4. Turn the fan blade nut clockwise to loosen( it's opposite of normal) - Save the nut and the small clip that is behind the fan as you'll need them again. 5. Remove the screws that hold oven to the kitchen cabinet frame. 6. Slide oven out of kitchen cabinet and place on the floor - it takes 2... Read more
Black trim piece that installs at the bottom edge of your range oven door. Replace if cracked, rusted, broken, or missing to restore appearance.
I lifted up the door and removed it. Next, I laid out newspaper on the floor. I placed the door on the newspaper upside down. With my socket driver, I removed the bottom door trim. I then used a pocket knife to remove the remaining glass in the top groove. I then slid in the new glass and reinstalled the trim. It took 30 minutes to replace the glass and clean up the glass fragments from the previous door glass. I looked up a video on how to replace it Utube. Personal safety equipment - Safety... Read more
This surface burner control valve regulates gas flow to a single cooktop or range burner, allowing smooth ignition and precise flame adjustment. Replace a worn or stiff valve to restore consistent, reliable burner control.
APP Tech & Sales staff helped me diagnose the problem, we agreed that it was "most likely" the Safety Valve. It arrived the next day and I just installed it.BINGO! Just in time.My reward is my wife's awesome Christmas cookies. It was reassuring to know that I could return the part if it didn't solve the problem especially since I had already wasted money on a misdiagnosed part from another supplier that doesn't accept returns.
