Broiler not heating or browning food? A faulty broil element is often the cause. Located at the top of the oven, this part restores even heat for broiling.
Cut off power ,inside I remove the two back screws, remove the two front screws with hangers. Pull element out, clip wires so they don't fall back in holes with clothes pins. worked good. But wire connection to the broiler was to large, had to replace connectors, wire fell in hole, had to pull wall oven out and remove back panel. I then mounted the new element to oven. Replaced connectors ,connected connectors, closed back panel, put oven in place ,connected power lines. Turned power on. Works... Read more

I ordered a broiler element, watched the video and replaced the element when it arrived. I turned off the electrical breaker to the stove/oven. I then removed the oven door from the hinges and removed the 1/4" square head screws that secured the element in place,( the video showed phillip head screws ), removed the element wires from the old element. Replaced the element wires to the new element and reattached the element to the oven with the hex head screws. I then put the oven door back on... Read more

I first tried to purchase the part directly from GE but they were not helpful at all. My 1984 GE Electric Stove model number was very close to an another entry, but not actually in appliance repair pros' model numbers list. But my burners looked and measured the same for the near entry number, and the surface unit control switch looked very similar. I decided to take a chance and ordered 2 of each.. (Actually I wouldn't have needed new burners but an earlier "repair guy" took 2 of my burners and never returned - and no one could find him!) It turned out the new burners fit... Read more

Appliance Parts Pro' 1" gridded photos of elements helped insure I got the right bake and broil elements for my stove. Super fast shipping was promised in two days and came in one day.
