General Electric Spark Module

Ge Spark Module Kit
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB13X26360

The GE spark module kit is an OEM replacement part for GE stoves and ranges. It generates the spark needed to ignite the gas burners. The kit includes the spark module and associated wiring harness. When the burner control knob is turned to the "ignite" position, the spark module receives a signal and activates. It then produces an electrical spark that ignites the gas as it flows from the burner orifice, allowing the burner to light.

Over time, spark modules can fail due to electrical issues, wear and tear from frequent use, or exposure to moisture. A malfunctioning spark module can disrupt the ignition process, making it difficult to light the burners.

Symptoms of a bad spark module include:

  • Burners not igniting
  • No clicking sound when turning the burner knob
  • Intermittent sparking
  • Only some burners igniting

This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Ge Spark Module (Surface Burners)
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB13X46909

This spark module controls ignition for your range's surface burners. When you turn a burner knob, it generates the high-voltage spark the electrodes need to ignite the gas quickly and consistently.

  • Generates high-voltage pulses to the surface igniters to light the burner flame
  • Activates when a burner switch/knob calls for ignition
  • Routes spark output to the cooktop electrodes for reliable lighting
  • Common failure signs: no spark on one or more burners, intermittent/weak spark, or continuous clicking
What's included: 1 spark module Install notes:
  • Unplug the appliance and shut off the gas supply; allow the cooktop to cool
  • Access the module per your model (often under the cooktop or behind a rear panel)
  • Label and transfer wires one at a time from the old module to the new; ensure a solid ground and secure mounting
  • Reassemble, restore power and gas, and test each burner for proper ignition
Also known as: ignition module; surface burner spark ignition module

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You All igniters sparked continuously when all burner gas switches were turned off   Donald A. • Palatine , IL • October 03, 2018

Refer to Mynor T. of Draper, UT Aug. 12, 2018 write-up. I benefited greatly from the above write-up. It took me a little less time to perform this repair (excluding cleaning the assembly) due to the write-up. This GE Profile gas burner cook top is a “drop-in” model meant to be installed into counter top cut outs. The glass top edges are the actual support area for the entire cook top assembly. The burner bases (on top of the glass top) are screwed to the metal case enclosure (located beneath... Read more

Ge Spark Module 4+0
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB13K10029

Spark plug modules are a part required in the operation of ranges. The spark that comes from the spark module ignites a low-pressure flow of gas to the pilot light. It stays lit until the control in the oven's thermostat is off. With use, because of accidental damage, or as a result of misuse, the spark plug module may wear out or stop functioning correctly. If that happens, it will require a replacement. The spark plug module should emit a white spark between the metal edge of the burner and the igniter pin. If there is no spark or if the spark is yellow in color, the part is likely not working correctly. The repair of the spark plug module is simple. Unplug the range from the power supply before starting the replacement. This spark plug module is a genuine OEM replacement part. It is sourced directly from the manufacturer. The spark plug module is made of durable, high-quality materials. The replacement part is sold as an individual unit. The piece is compatible with different range models. It can be installed in appliances that were manufactured by brands including General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA.

Ge Ignition Module Spark Module
Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB13X24321

The Ignition Module is an OEM part for GE ranges. This component plays a critical role in controlling oven ignition by generating high-voltage sparks to light the burners. It consistently monitors flame presence and re-ignites burners as needed throughout baking and cooking.

Symptoms of a bad ignition module include:

  • Delayed burner ignition or failure to ignite at all
  • Unstable or intermittent burner flames
  • Repeated false error codes related to ignition

Causes can be short-circuiting or water damage of electronic components over extended use. This can lead to inconsistent spark outputs and faulty flame sensing.

Reliable ignition is essential for safe and trouble-free cooking. This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

  • Generates high-voltage pulses to the surface-burner igniters when a control knob is turned to ignite
  • Controls spark for two burners (2+0 configuration)
  • Common failure symptoms: no clicking/spark on the affected burners, intermittent/weak spark, or needing a match to light
What's included:
  • 1 spark module
Install notes:
  • Disconnect electrical power and shut off the gas supply before servicing
  • Access the module (typically beneath the cooktop or behind the control panel) and label/photograph wiring for reference
