I removed the dial knob and plate as instructed by the video, removed the front panel of the washer to access the switch. I found the plastic molded bracket that the timer rests on to be broken and the tab on the timer where it is attached by a screw to be broken. I ordered a replacement switch, dial and knob. Had to remove the front and top panel on the dryer, disconnect the belt and remove the drum. From there it was two screws to slide out the motor assembly with the fan attached and one bolt to remove the clamp and screw kit holding the fan in place. They kit was worn and was allowing the fan to move forward and back on the motor shaft. Once replaced it took about 5 minutes to reassemble and my dryer now purs like a kitten. Read more

Removed the brackets that sheltered the fan blade, removed the fan clip (was a little difficult but a needle nose plier was helpful), removed broken fan blade collar. Attached new fan blade and clip. Getting the new fan blade seated on the stem was difficult. I used a socket (so that the stem had room to move down onto the fan) and a rubber mallet on the socket to achieve a complete seating. The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge.
