Would advise before doing this repair to watch the video for it. It is not a plug in connection anymore like older ovens. The stove was a 40 year old drop in model so we had to turn off the breaker to the oven before getting started. We removed the baking racks then used a small drill bit to remove the old baking element making sure not to allow the wire to slip back into the back of the stove (very important). Installed the new baking element by slipping the wire connector onto the new element. Replaced the screws, restored power, tested the oven and voila it worked. Easy peasy. Read more
