This OEM replacement part is an oven control board. The control board serves as the main computer to the oven and controls all its essential functions such as baking, maintaining temperature, as well as turning it on and off. If the oven is no longer turning on, or there is an error code on the digital display, this could mean that the control board is no longer operable. If this is the case, the control board will need to be replaced. To replace this part, start by unplugging the oven. After the power has been shut off, proceed to remove the upper back panel of the range. Once removed gain access to the old control board and snap it out of the locking tabs holding it in place. Take note of the orientation of the wires by taking a photo with a phone camera. Remove the wire harness and individual wires from the old board and place them into the correct terminals of the new board. Snap the new board back in place and re-install the upper back panel. This genuine replacement part is sold individually and is compatible with General Electric, Hotpoint, and RCA brand ovens.
