The Hinge Arm Link is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. This component functions as a connection point between the dishwasher door and the hinge mechanism, allowing the door to open and close smoothly. The hinge arm link ensures that the door can bear the weight of itself, often laden with a mounted dish rack when fully loaded, without straining the hinges or misaligning.
Causes of damage to the hinge arm link often involve regular wear and tear from the constant motion of opening and closing the dishwasher door.
Symptoms of a bad Hinge Arm Link include:
- Difficulty opening or closing the dishwasher door
- A door that won't stay closed or opens unexpectedly
- Visible wear or damage to the hinge arm link, such as bending, breaking, or severe wear marks
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

The hinge arm link broke Ronald I. • Las Vegas , NV • March 02, 2015
I watched the repair video and ordered the part ( I luckily ordered two links). The video was not exactly for my model dishwasher but I did follow the instruction for removal from the cabinet. Since my model was not shown, I was looking to see how the door spring and the Hinge Arm Link was supposed to be set up. I had the impression that the door spring and link was only on the right side of the dishwasher. I finally figured it out and took pictures of the set-up for the next time the link...

The Middle Conduit Assembly is an OEM part for GE dishwashers, designed to facilitate the proper routing and distribution of water during the wash cycle. This part ensures that water is evenly distributed to the middle spray arm, providing effective and efficient cleaning of dishes placed on the middle rack.
Causes of a bad middle conduit assembly can include clogs from food debris, mineral buildup from hard water, and physical damage due to regular use or improper loading of dishes. These issues can impede water flow, reducing the dishwasher’s cleaning efficiency.
Symptoms of a bad Middle Conduit Assembly include:
- Poor cleaning performance, especially with dishes on the middle rack
- Water not reaching the middle spray arm
- Unusual noise during the wash cycle, indicating a disruption in water flow
This OEM GE part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Detergent and rinse aid dispenser stopped working Donald L. • Rochester , MI • April 18, 2020
Bought the replacement dispenser from APPros.com (of course). The video shows a front control panel, and our dishwasher has the 'hidden' control panel on the top of the door. So here's the difference:
1) You need to take out all the screws, except the two near the latch at the top. The other video shows only taking out the bottom six screws because the remainder of the screws hold the front control panel. I used a couple paint cans with rags on top to hold the corners of the door when...

Dishwasher wasn't cleaning well spots and food still attached kind of problems Terry B. • Sacramento , CA • January 31, 2017
My daughter and I went to Youtube and found an extremely well presented video on how to clean our exact make and model of dishwasher. We live in a newly rented house, new to us, not new. The dishwasher was an unholy nightmare of filth, clogged filters, calcium deposits coating and blocking in literal heaps, discovered when taken apart. The miracle really was that the dishwasher cleaned at all. We cleaned and scraped everything thoroughly, the fine filter and the sump filter as well but decided...

The Door Gasket is an OEM part for GE dishwashers. It forms a seal between the dishwasher door and tub which is critical for proper operation. The gasket ensures excess water and moisture do not leak from the dishwasher during active wash and rinse cycles. It also helps keep noise levels low by providing sound insulation. This gasket measures 3/8 x 89 inches.
Common causes of a bad door gasket include regular wear and tear, exposure to high temperatures and detergents, or physical damage. These factors can cause the gasket to lose its flexibility and sealing capability.
Symptoms of a bad Door Gasket include:
- Water leaking from the dishwasher door
- Visible cracks, tears, or deformation in the gasket
- The door not closing properly or securely
- Increased moisture around the dishwasher during or after cycles
This GE replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA, and some Kenmore models.

Water emptied out under the door of my 24 yr old GE dishwasher on to the floor. Andrea B. • Harrisburg , PA • September 22, 2018
After researching on the APP site, I decided what I thought I would need and purchased a new Gasket, Gasket Insert, Left & Right Corner Baffles from APP. The parts were shipped immediately. However, I’m an 80 yr. old female so I procrastinated for almost 6 weeks before deciding to 'tackle' the repair myself rather than hiring an appliance repair person or "handyman".
I went back into the AppliancePartsPros site and reviewed the wonderful videos related to the repair since Matt had made it...

The door cable and pulley assembly controls the smooth opening and closing motion of your dishwasher door by managing its descent and preventing it from dropping too quickly. Located inside the door hinges, this assembly requires replacement when the door slams shut, won't stay open at various angles, or makes grinding noises during operation.

GE door came off hinges and was not staying closed Donnell W. • Ferguson , MO • October 12, 2019
Once I located the parts involved in the factory exploded drawing I ordered a cable and spring. Then, when I had the dishwasher pulled out I saw that both cables had simply slipped off of their pulleys and that the door needed to be re-set properly into its drop-down metal studs.
So now I have a spare set for any problems in the future! Very easy - two screws under the counter and pull forward. Shipping was quick and easy. First time customer.

Dishwasher would not fill with water Robert N. • Susanville , CA • January 09, 2016
I took the inlet valve apart, found it was clogged with sediment, so I cleaned it and reinstalled it. Water was still not filing, so I figured the valve was sticking. I ordered a new valve, because $30 was a lot cheaper than a new dishwasher. I took out the old valve with two screws, and disconnected the supply line, the brass elbow, one hose, and a wiring harness. I reattached it in the same place, re-using the all the other parts, and once I turned the power and water back on, it worked as...
