Watched the video here, took the leap that burner was the problem and ordered it. Also found another vid on you tube that was more specific to my Kenmore. Tip: find out how to take off the oven door. For mine it was very easy but not detailed in the APP vid. I followed instructions in APP vid but also first took off back panel of range and tested resistance of old burner to ensure that was truly the problem (as suggested by other YT vid). Replaced the element. 1st- Turn off the power to the appliance. The cook top is held on with two screws - access the screws by opening the oven door. Cooktop is hinged, so just pull up near oven door and hold in place with, say, a three foot long stick. The elements are held in place by bracket attached to the cooktop. Removed the element "easy just four screws" unplugged two connecting wires, removed element. Did a "continuity test" on element, it failed, so I ordered a new one and installed it. It works great now. Read more

It was a simple process to enter the model number of our glass cook top stove; learn the part number required and order. It arrived in 2-days -- least expensive shipping method. The cooktop was removed with a Phillips-head screwdriver by 4 small sheet metal screws on the right and left side of the oven. The oven's power to the cooktop was easily disconnected via two "clips" and one ground. Would have cost way more with an appliance repair shop and it's an easy do-it-yourself repair. Read more

Only the lower element was burned out, but I opted to replace both. Ordered from AppliancePartsPros and received them very quickly! A few screws, unplug and plug in the new elements, replaced the screws, and DONE! This has to be one of the easiest repairs a homeowner can do. • Little to no heat when broiling

I wanted to get the upper oven baking element replaced; it hasn't been working for a few months. This double oven has had two other issues, there is a fan that comes on to cool the electronics panel, That fan has made excessive noise and it operates for 2-3 hours after the oven turns off. The other problem with the oven is the Self-Cleaning feature runs for about 15-30 minutes and then turns off with an error code. Open oven door removed 2 screws to lift up top then remove 1 screw at back of burner assy to let right side burner assy drop down to replace then remove wires be sure to write down where wires go look on bottom side for location of wire plugs new burner plugs may be located in different location mine was then install new burner assy Read more
