I've opened sump housing to check for clogging but it was clean. When I removed check valve to inspect it I've found out that the round part of the valve was missing so I figured it might've blocked the water exit at drain hose or something like that. My dishwasher was leaking and I called to have a certified technician come to diagnose the problem. I removed the kick panel from the bottom of the machine. He turned it on and we saw that water was leaking from the bottom. He said I needed a Sump kit but it wasn't in stock. The cost was $170 plus tax and labor cost was another $140. We are very inexperienced appliance repair people. Thus check it out first to see if we can fixit...successs. First checked to be sure it wasn't the actual switch. I ordered the correct part. It was super simple. I removed the plastic light cover being held in with a Phillips screw, popped it out, exposing the faulty light panel. It unplugged easily. Plugged in the new panel and put the cover back on. Five minutes tops. Read more

I originally ordered the Fan motor from a appliance dealer. I waited for 5 days for it to arrive. In the meantime I scavenge a motor from a junk refrigerator from the dump. Just replaced the things. Had to reuse old tine rows, rollers, the spray arm, etc., i.e. I removed 'em from the old racks and put on the new ones, but that was piece of cake. Also, I cleaned the food grinder and the discharge valve compartment (thank you very ???? ???? much, Internet), so spray arms around the top rack get enough water pressure now. I didn't have to buy any parts for the latter part of this little repair project, though. Read more

It was a pretty easy fix not as easy as the 1 nut models they show on YouTube it had 3 tiny ones that my big hands had a bit of trouble with. It said 15 minutes it took me about a half an hour. I called a service company just to see what they would charge. $90.00 to say hello 1 hour minimal labor $110.00 and $120.00 for the part. It cost me $90.00 and 30 minutes of my time.
