You have to take the knob off the broken part, then buy the new switch element and fix it. To do this you turn the power off, take out 6 fasteners to release the front panel of the stove and replace the switch element. Then put it all back together. Very simple. But if the knob was designed better it would not have broken in the first place. It looks nice, but this is the third time I have had to fix one. Read more

I replaced the old burner with the new burner assembly which included the ignighter. The screw that held the old ignighter was frozen into the old burner such that just the ignighter could not be replaced. Be care full removing the screws to the burner as they also may be frozen and tend to snap off instead of unscrewing. You will need to drill an tap new holes. Read more

After many years of excellent service the burner I use most often on the top of my JenAir range rusted through. After trying to remove the burner, which was firmly rusted into place, I decided to replace the cooktop pan, both burners and igniters. Ordered new screws and door gasket. Replaced the old door gasket now the oven warms up faster and bakes the stuff easier. Replaced the missing door trim screws. Now the door close without making noises. Read more

Range has no model ID plate anywhere. Flip off electric at circuit breaker box. Opened top of range and noted details of the faulty burner, including confirm that outer coil was fried. The maker info on back of element was useless in finding replacement: more useful was general shape, and the numbers around edge on back. Close up range, since low heat element still working. Had to drill out the portion of the old foot that was still in the grate. Cleaned out the opening. Popped in the new one and voilà- all fixed. I ordered 8 of the feet as I see this eventually happening to all of them. Read more
