I purchased a new igniter for the bake assembly and found that it, unfortunately, did not resolve my problem. I measured the resistance of the different points on the gas valve and it was reading within spec so I then purchased this spark module and it did the trick. My gas range is a Kitchenaid kgsk901sss02. Of course, before disassembling anything, I unplugged and turned off the gas supply. To replace the spark electrode, I removed the drip pan/surface to gain access to the burner assemblies. Next, I unscrewed (with a 1/2" open-end wrench, I think) and disconnected the gas supply tubing from the burner assembly with the cracked electrode, and then unscrewed the assembly itself from the base surface. 1) I installed 4 ea new Whirlpool 700855K switches. (The old switches had INF-240P-871 stamped on them. 700855K was the cross-referenced P/N.) The installation was easy. There is slight difference in the terminal arrangement: 1) the old switch has raised terminals whereas the new switch has recessed terminals (for safety), and 2) the terminal markings are slightly different: The old switch has L1/L2/P/H1/H2 (5 terminals). I attempted to diagnose the four thermostats/thermal switches in the microwave....two right behind the control panel, one on top of the cooking cabin, and one under a metal shroud above the magnetron. While checking continuity with a voltmeter, i questioned one of them behind the control panel and the one above the magnetron. I followed troubleshooting guide and repair videos offered on website, ordered replacement oven control board and reinstalled unit using only a 1/4 inch nut driver. Easy fix for do it yourselfer in 15-20 minutes. Make certain to have model number of appliance when ordering. Parts are somewhat pricey but AppliancePartsPros. were much more reasonable than local parts supply houses or other sources plus they offered 1 year replacement even on electrical stuff. Read more

The lightbulbs were a problem for me as I did not know if they were 12 V or 120 V. But the interactive parts diagram on the website was very helpful and allowed me to order the correct bulbs very rapidly(120V is correct). They were very easy to change out except for the fact that I needed to have my 12-year-old son do part of it since his hands are smaller than mine.(and it is always good for sons to work with dads even on small projects like this.) You have to take the knob off the broken part, then buy the new switch element and fix it. To do this you turn the power off, take out 6 fasteners to release the front panel of the stove and replace the switch element. Then put it all back together. Very simple. But if the knob was designed better it would not have broken in the first place. It looks nice, but this is the third time I have had to fix one. Read more

Removed the light covers, removed burned out bulbs, inserted replacement bulbs, reinstalled light covers. Read more

I replaced the old burner with the new burner assembly which included the ignighter. The screw that held the old ignighter was frozen into the old burner such that just the ignighter could not be replaced. Be care full removing the screws to the burner as they also may be frozen and tend to snap off instead of unscrewing. You will need to drill an tap new holes. Read more
