This upper wire shield protects and guides control wiring behind the appliance's control area to help prevent heat and abrasion damage, reducing the risk of shorts or intermittent control issues. It restores the factory routing and protection for accessible wiring. What it does:

  • Shields upper control wires from heat, chafing and contact with sharp edges
  • Helps prevent electrical shorts and wiring damage that can cause control failures
  • Restores proper wire routing and fastening behind the control panel
  • Commonly used when wire insulation is exposed, wiring has shifted, or the original shield is missing
What's included: One upper wire shield. Install notes:
  • Disconnect power to the appliance before beginning any service.
  • Handle part carefully; edges and mounting tabs can be sharp.
  • Reuse original fasteners if in good condition or replace with OEM fasteners as specified.
  • Follow the appliance service manual for correct routing and attachment to avoid pinch points.
