The Water Valve is an OEM part for Frigidaire laundry centers. It's a part that controls the flow of hot and cold water into the washing machine. By opening and closing at the appropriate times during the wash cycle, this valve ensures that clothes are washed in the correct temperature settings, optimizing cleaning performance and fabric care.
Causes of a faulty Water Valve include mineral build-up from hard water blocking the openings, wear and tear causing leaks or malfunctions, and electrical problems such as faulty solenoids disrupting operation signals.
Symptoms of a malfunctioning Water Valve include:
This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Fix washer not filling, slow fill, or water leaks with this water inlet valve assembly. Moderate DIY repair, typically takes 30-60 minutes to install.
I replaced the water inlet valve assembly. We have relatively hard water and I assumed that over the years those inlet valves were clogged with calcium deposits which in turn led to the high pitched squealing as water was added to the machine. The hardest part of the entire job was releasing the top of the washer to disconnect the hoses from the valve assembly. Everything else was relatively easy. We simply followed the online video. My washer no longer screams and I'm thrilled! Your... Read more
This is a small check valve that connects to the drain pump assembly on a washing machine. It prevents water from flowing back into the tub after it has been pumped out during the drain cycle. Replace this valve if you notice water draining back into the drum after a wash cycle completes, or if you find standing water remaining in the tub.

Fix leaking during rinse or spin cycles with this washer check valve ball. Prevents water siphoning and maintains proper water levels. Easy DIY repair.
Replacing the upper nozzle connector did the trick. I could not see damage in the older upper nozzle, it is possible that I could have fixed this just by tightening the parts - but i am happy I purchased both the upper nozzle and check valve ball, it feels good to have installed brand new parts in the washer. This is a water inlet valve with a built-in bimetal thermistor, used in washing machines to control the flow of water into the tub. The integrated thermistor helps regulate water temperature by sensing incoming water conditions. Replace this valve if the washer won't fill, fills with the wrong water temperature, leaks near the water connections, or continues running water when it shouldn't.

This is an electrically controlled water inlet valve that opens and closes to allow hot and cold water to flow into the washing machine during the fill cycle. It connects to the household water supply hoses at the back of the washer. Replace this valve if the washer is not filling with water, fills slowly, continues to fill when turned off, or leaks from the back of the machine.
Researched, then decided to try everything suggested. Cleaned the hidden filter under the washer, checked the lines and the water inlet valves, opened it up and found a hose rubbed thin because it wasn't clipped correctly during the manufacturing process. Replaced the inlet valve, pressure sensor and the thinned tube (all parts except the hose from appliance parts pros.com-had to get the hose at the car parts store). Machine has not worked this well in years, and saved hundreds in labor. Your... Read more

Leaking from the water inlet connection? This vacuum break prevents backflow and maintains the air gap at the inlet. Easy DIY fix in under 30 minutes.
Removed cover from Whirlpool washer (~20 years old) and found water to be leaking from hose connection at Break Vac. Obviously the hose had to be replaced but the Break Vac looked corroded and partially plugged, too, possibly inhibiting water flow. While the cabinet was off I noticed the Suspension Spring was rusted off so I ordered 1 of those, too. Total of all parts was under $45 so looks like we won't be getting a newer, more efficient washer anytime soon. Everything arrived in 3 days and... Read more
This assembly includes the dispenser housing along with integrated hot and cold water inlet valves for a top-load or front-load washing machine. It controls the flow of water into the machine and routes it through the detergent and fabric softener dispensers. Replace this assembly if the washer is not filling with water, fills slowly, leaks at the inlet connections, or if the dispenser is not properly directing water to the wash tub.
Maytag Bravos Washer, Model #MVWX550XW1 My washer was emitting a loud noise - I describe it as a loud whining noise - while filling with water. The noise seemed to be coming from the fill valve assembly: 1) jiggling the supply hoses changed the inflection of the noise, 2) turning on the faucet in the adjacent laundry tub (thereby reducing the water supply pressure) also diminished the intensity of the whining noise. I ordered and installed this part - No. AP6023337 "Housing". The installation... Read more
