Ordered the parts and followed the instruction videos that Sears provide, Initially tried to order parts from Sears directly but the web-page kept complaining about my shipping address. Their loss- no wonder they're going out of business. Also, should note that the original assembly was plastic but the replacement was metal. Sure sign of a crappy cost-cutting decision. Overall, very happy with Appliance Parts Pros! Read more
Fix a detergent dispenser that won't open or close properly with this latch kit. Includes all components for secure closure. 10-15 minute repair.
Appeared to be two problems: the latch was worn and one of the pins that slid in a guide on the actuator located in the inner panel had broke off. Detergent lid spring and pin appeared to be OK but decided to replace since I was aready working on it. I ordered all the inner panel mechanism from the control arm to the latch actuator on the inner panel. The repair was successful as the detergent dispenser now opens during its cycle. Read more
Dishwasher not filling with water? The water inlet valve controls water flow into your dishwasher. DIY-friendly repair, typically takes 40 minutes.
I figured the valve that allowed water into the dishwasher was bad, or some controlling function of this process. Dishrack wheel assembly for dishwashers. Replaces broken, cracked, or worn wheels that prevent smooth rack sliding. Includes wheel and axle bracket.
Tipped the dishwasher on to its front, loosened the drain hose clamp and pulled the hose off. Then unscrew the fill hose which looks like a garden hose adapter. Cut the zip tie on the drain hose and take note of how both hoses are routed, then pull both hoses out the back of the dishwasher. Insert new hoses and route them correctly and hook everything back up. Couple of notes, I didn't have to take off the outer cabinet to do this repair. Get plenty of towels because a lot of water can get... Read more

Seals the dishwasher air vent to prevent water leaks during operation. Replace if you notice dripping under the vent or wet insulation behind the panel.
First tried replacing the seal around the door as that was the simple and most logical fix. Still leaked. Removed the front and upper panel to inspect. Found calcium deposit running down from under the Air Vent Assembly and wet behind the black stick-on insulation. Easy to trace the leak to the bottom of the door. => Ordered new Air Vent Assembly, gasket and Vent Deflector. Parts arrived. Took 5 minutes to remove upper panel. Removed the two wires from the Air Vent Assembly. Inserted a... Read more

Replacement upper dishrack for dishwashers. Holds dishes, glasses, and utensils during wash cycles. Replace if rusted, cracked, or broken tines damage items.
Kitchen Aid dishwasher is 11 years old, and the tines have been rusting and biting the dust one by over the last few years. Rather than further destroy my dishes by abrading them with rust particles, I decided to get new racks. They are terribly expensive, and I pondered getting a new dishwasher. It wouldn't be that much more expensive. But I love mine and how well it washes. It has a stainless interior, and all of the seals are in excellent shape. I didn't need any tools. (Although I'm a... Fix water leaking from the bottom or poor cleaning in lower rack. This dishwasher diverter cover protects internal valve components. Moderate DIY repair.
Replaced sump because the seal is not sold separately. You will need a skinny clamp after cutting the original swaged clamp off. Also Had to replace the cover as its seal is not sold separately either. Used dish soap on seals during assembly. Read more

Ordered new wheel assembly, which came in about a day and a half. The broken assembly was on the left front so I only had to slide the dishwasher out just enough to expose the two mounting screws on the outside of machine. When you remove the old assm there are two rubber washers on the back side. If you didn't order new ones, remember to remove them from broken assembly and install them onto the new piece.Overall this is an easy fix and took about ten minutes including pulling the machine away... Replaces worn dryer front bearing and seal that cause squealing or scraping noise. Essential for smooth drum rotation. Confirm fit with your model.
After having replaced the drum support rollers twice in a roughly 3yr period, I realized something wasn't quite right, and indeed it wasn't. I had been ordering the wrong parts - I did use the online parts locator after checking, & double checking my model number. Apparently my older Whirlpool dryer has a somewhat ambiguous model number because the rollers that were shipped each time looked nothing like the originals. I realize that is not particularily uncommon - manufacturers often modify... Read more
Supports and secures the upper spray arm in your dishwasher. Replace if cracked, broken, or detached. Clips to the bottom of the upper rack.
I discovered that the manifold was not connecting with the water supply,so the dishes in the upper tray were not being washed. This was caused because the rear hanger on the manifold had broken and it did not lineup properly into the water supply connection in the back of the dishwasher. I removed the manifold and found that it had two part numbers stamped on it. I searched on both part numbers and received a hit on the second part number. The photo looked exactly like my manifold so I... Read more
