Took off the back of the top pushed the switch forward and lifted it out after I unplugged it. Put the new switch in the opposite of how I took it out, plugged in the wires put the back on and finished my laundry. Read more

This switch fixed a very frustrating problem, 75% of the time the washer refused to run because it "thought" the door was open. Replacing the switch was a very easy, in expensive, 5-min fix. Filled tub to about 6 inches and inspected washer. Noticed that the tube leading from the air entrapment bubble on the exterior side of the drum had a small leak in it. Clipped off the part of the tube that had the hole in it(it was very close to the connector nipple) reconnected and problem was solved. Read more

Well by doing this I was able to find the source of my problem. What I thought was the heating coil not working right, ended up being the timer that was bad!!!
