Symptoms varied: oven not starting; oven preheats OK but after you open the door to put in food and close it, the oven showed temp OK, didn't turn on, and heat would drop to nothing over time; other times, it would begin preheating then start beeping and showing the temperature setting, then an 'ERR' and die. The display of the control worked, so one might not question it but there is nothing else that would simply shutdown while heating. This part came faster than a 'technician' and 5 sheet metal screws and 4 mounting screws later, the new unit was installed. The only delay was the waiting for the oven to reach full temp to verify that it was working - it is. Found online how to test for issue removed upper back panel with nut driver tested heating elements, temp sensor and controller came down to controller for oven, ordered part standard delivery was at my home in a day and a half WOW, unplugged from wall removed all electrical connectors to controller 4 screws then removed the touch pad from the old controller reinstalled pad on new controller then reinstalled controller and back panel plugged back in to wall. Removed the screws that hold the oven and microwave in the cabinet and slid the whole unit out 4 inches, and removed 2 screws on each side of the oven that hold the screen in. The entire front panel can then be removed. Used a very small flat screwdriver to unplug the plugs off the control board so the clips wouldnt break. Some of the plugs are labeled where they should go, but it would help to mark where they go just in case. Installed new panel in reverse order, easier than expected. Read more

New pans and replaced controller. This 40 " residential Frigidaire electric range is not replaceable for under 1800.00 most of the cost is the weight of cabinet size. Rare to even find to fit my cabinet space. I repaired and updated my 2006 stove for less than 200.00 and only took around 45 min or less. HUGE savings from having to buy new and with cargo ships floating out in the ocean appliances and parts are starting to get slower to obtain. Read more
