Part Number: WP9760767
The Broil Element is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ranges. It works to radiate intense heat from the top of the oven cavity, allowing for quick and effective broiling of foods placed directly underneath. The broil element relies on protective coatings to withstand high temperatures and insulated filaments to safely conduct electric current without damage.
Symptoms of a bad broil element include:
- Slow or ineffective broiling
- Uneven or lackluster browning of broiled foods
- The oven cavity not reaching high enough temperatures for broiling
- Ovens not functioning properly on the broil setting
Causes of a bad broil element can be deterioration of protective coatings over long-term use, damage to filaments from wear and tear, or burns/breaks from contact with other oven surfaces.
This OEM replacement is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.
This part fixes the following symptoms
-
Little to no heat when broiling
-

Replace burner and receptacle. The product arrived promptly after order and the receptacle came in a factory Whirlpool bag, indicating it was a genuine Whirlpool part. The burner did not have such identification, but works very good. I've placed 3 orders with these folks for various broken appliances, and each one has worked as advertised and performs like new.

My microwave vent grill kept falling on my head when i opened my microwave Christopher D. • Kernersville , NC • February 23, 2015
Well, I gotta say I was happy to find you still had parts for almost 20 year old microwaves. The microwave itself worked fine, so I hated to have to buy a new one, but I just couldn't take being hit in the head anymore; and my fix of using string and wire to tie it to the surrounding cabinets was unsightly to say the least. I'm glad I did some research and found this part - all I had to do was pop it in place and now the vent grill is secure. Problem solved with minimal cost.

Fan was making a weird noise Raymond A. • Brookville , OH • February 19, 2016
First I did a search for my model stove, I read the discriptions of what it was doing and came to the conclusion it was the fan motor. I then called an appliance dealer in my local area to find out that the fan motor cost all most double what I could get it online. I called to see how much it would cost to have a repair man come out and fix it, which would have cost 260 dollars. So in one of the suggested comments that someone previously left it stated that it could be done in about 20...

I did research on my own prior to ordering. I looked at other sites, but was impressed with the online chatting-this was very helpful! I ordered three items and had difficulty with one rack. Flame was appearing around the edge of the sealed burner James Y. • Muncy , PA • November 11, 2014
I replaced the burner head. I turned off power to the stove, although I did not turn off the gas. I gave the old burner head a slight twist counter-clockwise until it lifted off the stove. I used the pliers to pull the wires from the old burner, then placed them onto the contacts on the new burner. Set it in place, and gave it a clockwise twist until it was snug. This stove originally came with gaskets beneath the burners, but the info for the replacement part stated that a gasket was not...
