Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 5304454273
This potentiometer kit is the user-adjustment control the appliance reads to set operating levels. Replacing a worn potentiometer restores smooth, predictable response when you turn the knob, helping the control register settings accurately.
- Varies electrical resistance so the control can interpret knob position
- Helps set functions such as speed, power level, or temperature as designed
- Failure can present as no change when turning the knob, jumpy/erratic response, or settings stuck at one level
- Can also cause intermittent operation or "dead spots" while adjusting
What's included: 1 potentiometer kit. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance before servicing
- Access the control area; note wire positions or take a photo before removal
- Transfer any knob/shaft adapter from the old part if applicable; secure the new pot without over-tightening
- Route wiring away from sharp edges and heat sources; verify proper operation before reassembly

I accidentally let a pot boil over on the stove and it shorted one of the burner switches. Paul B. • Solon , OH • March 21, 2014
I immediately took the cooktop apart, found the bad part, and got the part number. I went online to AppliancePartsPros and typed in the model number, found the part and ordered it on a Sunday evening. The part arrived on Wednesday and I installed it that night and we were good to go!

Burner switch failure James C. • Estes Park , CO • November 30, 2015
Ordered a new switch (4456027) from you. You seemed to have the best price and guaranteed that it was a OEM part -not everybody did. I had repaired Jenn Air cook tops before so I thought this was not a problem. Wrong. Mostly it was my own stupidity. I exchanged the wires from the old switch to the new one at a time but did write down where the original wires went. Flipped the breakers back on. Only one heater got hot. Searched the internet for several days for a wiring diagram. Nothing much....

1 burner was not igniting the sparker on a low end 20 year old GE stove. Benjamin F. • Villa Park , IL • January 09, 2022
Rather than replacing the whole ignition switch harness, I cut out the broken switch and replaced it with Burner Ignition Switch WB24K10017 / AP2632529. Wire stripper, small wire nuts, and electrical tape were also used.
At first, the new switch was constantly on when the knob was in the off position. The gas valve shaft has a "U" shape. When the U is right side up, the gas is off and so should the igniter. The gas valve shaft position couldn't be changed, so instead, I re-mounted the...

Switches to fan and bridge burner no longer worked Aaron G. • Benson , NC • April 07, 2017
We ordered the parts and watched the help videos. It was "almost" exact in telling us what we needed to go. Our cooktop is 16 years old and had a ton of greasy buildup that had slowly gotten down into the knobs and was a sticky mess to undo.
However the parts fit perfectly, and after 2 hours of careful "home engineering" we made it happen and everything works aweome now. My dad then decided to dissect the older switches, and proclaimed that we probably could have cleaned the connecters...
