I googled the error code and symptoms my oven was exhibiting to determine the solution and which parts to order. I needed a new control panel and chose also to replace the overlay that shows on the front of the stove. I could have reused the old one because I turned out to be able to remove it without damaging it. I just kept it in case I damage the new one in the future. Knowing the odds of 2 failures occurring at the same exact time was unusually high, I just searched your site for what other broken items might affect these two failures. Came up with next control item upstream and tallied that item failure with percentages of successful repairs, (4 mins.) door safety switch. • Won't start

Did some research to find out it was the electrode. Pulled out the old one to match what was on your site. It came in no time at all, and the replacement was a cinch. Read more

• Element will not heat

This repair was on a GE glass Cooktop range. This range has two indicator lights, a Burner On light, and a Hot Cooktop Light. The problem I was having was, the Hot Cooktop stayed on all the time (24x7), even when the cooktop surface had been off for hours and was cold. YouTubes that I viewed were all misleading on this symptom. They all pointed to the switch, which is the fix for the Burner Light staying on, not the Hot Cooktop Light staying on. If one control starts to fail the rest are sure to follow soon - so I replaced all four on our JennAir S160. Looked up the parts on line. Due to my background as an aviation electrician in the Navy and then working as an electrical systems designer for a defense contractor the toughest part was the clean up. Oh Well. Read more

• Little to no heat when baking

I visited Appliance Pros website and indicated the problem we were having etc. Found the suspected part (heating element), went on YouTube and found out how to remove the part from the oven and test it with a multi-meter. Keep in mind I have never used a multi-meter before or made repairs to an oven before. I ordered the part from APP, removed the door, removed the inside panel and replaced the glass. Hardest part was figuring out exactly which screws to remove to open the door. Read more

Replace dual infinity switch. The only difficulty is the terminal labels on the new switch did not match at all with the terminal labels on the original switch. The enclosed instructions were NOT helpful. But I contacted your representative, Johnny, and he was most helpful and patient. The clips on the rear side of the drawer box were broken. Easy to locate the part on the website. Part in hand in two days and installed in about five minutes. Needed to remove the drawer and use a 1/4" driver, remove the broken slide and install the new one. Read more

Replaced the oven heating element Read more

Replaced the regulator with part #AP5802175. Watched the video when purchasing, and it was spot on. Would have taken me about 15-20 minutes if I had access to a vise, to remove one of the fittings. Was able to get it out using two wrenches, but it was not without a bit of elbow grease. The new part went in easily. Turned on valve on regulator, plugged in the power, turned on the gas valve, done. Everything worked fine. Easy job for anyone with just a few tools. Read more
