Intermitten mini explosions in the oven when trying to use Jerry L. • Canton , GA • December 28, 2015
Troubleshot the oven by checking the broiler which worked good (same fuel valve). After reading the some tips about troubleshooting the Glow Ignitor I could see the broiler ignitor got white hot and the oven ignitor only got bright orange (orange to red causes intermittent ignition or mini explosions). Watched the how to video and it was good information. You should be observant about which openings in the back of the oven as to where the two wires are coming out of. My oven is over 12 years...

Door seals were cracked and leaking causing temperature control issues and wasting electricity Mike W. • Canoga Park , CA • December 14, 2015
Ordered new door seals (gaskets) from Appliance Parts Pros. I was able to replace the freezer door seal without taking the door off the refrigerator. (Note: this is an over/under type refrigerator, with the freezer section on top) However, the first attempt at replacing the refrigerator door seal without removing the door from the fridge did not go well as the door appeared "warped" after I reassembled it and would not come close to sealing when I closed it. When I took the door off the fridge...

The freezer door gasket was coming apart and wasn't sealing properly any more Leonard M. • Sunnyvale , CA • August 23, 2014
I ordered the replacement gasket and...replaced it.
One issue was that the replacement procedure was not at all like the video to which I was directed when I got the gasket. The video showed a gasket with a rigid flange that had to be inserted into the door structure. On my Amana, I clearly had to remove the inner plastic liner and set the gasket under it. This was not particularly difficult but certainly wasn't the same process.
Also, I removed the freezer door to do the replacement in...

Replaced gasket. Video did not account for need to remove screws and gasket stays. Took a little time to figure out the best way to install new gasket. Installed metal gasket stays in four sections of the new gasket and then carefully lifted assembly into position before re-installing screws.

Needed a new freezer door gasket on samsung french door refrigerator Sean H. • Warner Robins , GA • April 04, 2016
Found AppliancePartsPros.com by googling my model # (RF26XAEBP/XAA) and problem. Was hesitant, but ordered the gasket and not only did it arrive in a couple days, it was the right part, and super easy to install.
I used the manual to figure out how to get the freezer drawer and basket out and then realized there were four bolts holding the door on that needed to come out. It was super easy to do with someone helping to hold things level for install and removal.
Pull the old seal out, and...
