I searched YouTube and found several videos that helped me diagnose the most probable cause. I learned how to open the cabinet and access the parts from the videos. I ordered a new discharge hose and a replacement pump. The parts came in the next day with the standard shipping option! It turned out that the old discharge hose was blocked. I can't believe that we lived with this shelf bar continually falling off for years due to a broken end cap. Disassembled and confirmed the clutch was bad. Also noticed a slight leak from the transmission shaft seal. Ordered replacement clutch, seal and oil from appliancepartspros.com. I could not find specific online instructions for this job. Here are some tips. 1. Unplug the washer. 2. Unscrew the dial on the broken timer. 3. Gently pry up the thin plastic place-indicator plate (the thing with the arrow under the dial) with two flathead screwdrivers. 4. Unscrew the two hex screws holding the old timer in place. 5. I ordered both hinges (if the nylon roller was bad on the left, it was probably going to go bad on the right side as well). The web site was easy to navigate, order process simple.
