First I checked both spark igniters (range has two ovens) by testing them on the oven that did work. Both were good. I then checked the spark igniter wiring & it was good. At this point I contacted Appliance Parts Pros to ask which spark module I should order, the problem was that there wasn't a model number on the appliance. The oven was not heating, and there was no gas flow to the oven or spark. I replaced the spark igniter, but that did not fix it, so the problem was either the ignition device or the oven bake solenoid. In order to get to them, I had to cut the venturi tubes which hold down the burner rings with a Dremel tool, which was easy enough. There is no other way to get these tubes out if they are stiff or seized as you will simply twist the gas supply line to the burner if you try to rotate the nut.... Read more

Found bad auger motor drive shaft, it was rounded on the end that goes into motor. While I was there I replaced the seal, auger (old one rusty) and coupler. The new auger is stainless steel (I believe and slightly longer) and should not corrode like old white one. If changing auger, make sure you put the assembly back together correctly (take a few pics of the old one and lay it out as taken apart). As always, parts arrived quickly. Read more

Not having any local Thermador support I took the advise from KC on the repair forum. The repair consisted of removing and replacing the control and relay board. The hardest part of the job was working behind the stove while it was pulled from the wall. ( didn't want to scratch my floor ). Over all the repair was simple just pulling wires from old board and installing on new board. The directions sent with the parts are excellent and easy for anyone to follow. Took door off, saw that dispenser linkage was ok, I could open and close by hand, so figured the wax motor or the wiring to it were most likely the problem. I took off the wax motor ( actuator) and ran 120 volts to it via jumper wires, and it did not move at all, so figured good chance that was the problem. Our Bosch suddenly quit washing the dishes properly after 15 years of faithful service. I observed that there was no pressure coming from the sprayers, and determined it to be the circulating pump.
