Wall Oven Fuse Or Sensor

Best Seller
Fuse-Thrml
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10545291

The Thermal Fuse is an OEM part for Whirlpool ovens. This part cuts off power to the oven if it detects excessively high temperatures, preventing potential overheating and ensuring safe operation.

Over time, the thermal fuse can fail due to regular use, exposure to high temperatures, or electrical issues.

Symptoms of a bad thermal fuse include:

  • Oven not powering on
  • Oven not heating up
  • Interruption of cooking cycles
  • No response from oven controls

This OEM Whirlpool part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper and some Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Open thermal fuse on whirlpool wall double oven   Lon F. • Jacksonville , FL • May 23, 2015

Replaced fuse. It took much longer to get the oven out of the wall to access the fuse and replace the front panel than to do the repair. This fuse failed at the end of the cleaning cycle for the bottom oven and left the door locked because the open fuse removed the 120v power from the control board. The locked door made it impossible to remove one of the screws holding the wall oven in place. However, after I ground off the head of the screw behind the edge of the locked door I was able to... Thrmst-Fix
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4449751

The High Limit Thermostat is an OEM replacement part for Whirlpool ovens. It acts as a safety mechanism that monitors the oven's temperature to prevent overheating. When the oven exceeds a specific temperature, the high-limit thermostat interrupts the electrical flow to the heating element, ensuring the appliance remains within safe operating conditions.

Causes of a bad High Limit Thermostat can include a malfunction due to electrical issues or component failure. It may become unresponsive over time, failing to cut off the power to the heating element when the oven overheats.

Symptoms of a bad High Limit Thermostat include:

  • The oven not heating up adequately or overheating
  • Inconsistent oven temperatures leading to undercooked or overcooked food
  • The thermostat being unresponsive or failing to regulate the oven’s temperature

This OEM part is also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore models.

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Bad circuit board and thermal fuse   Jeff M. • Redding , CA • October 05, 2015

Like a boss! Seriously, removed oven from wall (2 screws), removed about 15 sheet metal screws from front and top covers, unplugged wire harnesses one (or a few) at a time. Reassembled. Hint. Take a picture of wiring before removing and mark old parts (especially thermal fuse) with sharpie before removing so you don't get confused. Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave had no power and no lights   Matthew H. • Rocky Hill , CT • October 25, 2016

I have a Jenn-Air microwave that didn't turn on and had no lights. It just stopped working completely. I unplugged the unit and had to remove the rear cover using a *security screw kit* that prevents people from opening the rear panel. Once opened, I removed the fuse and testing it with an OHM reader to determine that the fuse went bad. We initially called a repair company who immediately diagnosed the fan, without opening up anything. They quoted $550 to repair. $159 of that was the fan part. Plus they told me the parts come from overseas and will take 2 week to arrive. I researched the model number and can part and found exactly what I was looking for on your site. Plus there were diagrams and forum discussions that boosted my confidence on repairing ourself. Using your parts diagrams and our manual information, we pulled... Read more

Line Fuse
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WP4375321

This line fuse protects the appliance's incoming power circuit by opening if an overload or short occurs. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the underlying issue is corrected, preventing further damage to sensitive components.

  • Interrupts line voltage when excessive current or a short circuit is detected
  • Typical symptoms: unit completely dead, no display or interior lights, won't start or run
  • Fuse tests open/no continuity with a multimeter when blown
  • A blown fuse often points to another fault that must be addressed
What's included: One line fuse Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker/unplug before servicing; microwaves contain high-voltage parts that can retain a dangerous charge even when unplugged
  • Replace only with the same type and rating as the original fuse
  • Ensure the fuse seats firmly in its holders; do not bypass or jumper a fuse

Fuse (Time-Delay)
Genuine Whirlpool part
By: Whirlpool
Part Number: WPW10017410

This time-delay fuse protects the appliance's power circuit by opening when current exceeds a safe level while tolerating brief inrush current. Replacing a blown fuse can help restore power once the root cause is corrected. What it does:

  • Protects the line and control circuits from shorts and overloads
  • Time-delay design helps prevent nuisance opening during startup surges
  • When open, the unit will be completely dead—no display, lights, or response
  • Repeatedly opening usually indicates an unresolved electrical fault that needs diagnosis
What's included:
  • 1 time-delay fuse
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing; some appliances can retain dangerous high voltage
  • Replace only with the same type and rating specified by the manufacturer
  • Inspect the fuse holder and wiring for heat damage or loose connections before reassembly
  • If the new fuse opens immediately, stop and diagnose the underlying cause; never bypass or upsize a fuse

Do-It-Yourself Stories from Customers like You Microwave stated ‘door open’ and would not work.   Margo D. • Tarpley , TX • March 17, 2019

I read up on others with this problem of microwave-wall oven combination Whirlpool Gold.
