Part Number: WB20K10035
This thermostat is the oven's temperature control. It senses cavity temperature and switches the heat on and off to maintain your set temperature, helping your range bake and roast more consistently.
- Regulates oven temperature by opening/closing electrical contacts to cycle heat
- Sensing bulb and capillary monitor oven temperature to track the setpoint
- Helps maintain steady cooking temperatures during baking and roasting
- May cause issues such as not reaching set temperature, overheating, wide temperature swings, or heat that won't shut off when it fails
What's included: 1 thermostat assembly. Install notes:
- Disconnect electrical power before servicing; allow the oven to cool completely
- Remove the knob and access the control from the panel; note wire locations for reassembly
- Route the sensing bulb and capillary exactly as original; do not kink or sharply bend
- After reassembly, verify operation with an oven thermometer and proper cycling

Temperature varied 50+/ ; worse at high temperatures Steve L. • Stanwood , WA • January 12, 2015
Replaced thermostat. Biggest challenge was how to feed the thermostat from the back of the stove into the oven. I found the easiest way is to tie a string onto the existing thermostat in the oven before it is removed. When the existing thermostat is pulled out the back un-tie the string and tie it on the new thermostat then pull the string from in the oven to draw the new thermostat through the hole.

I attempted to diagnose the four thermostats/thermal switches in the microwave....two right behind the control panel, one on top of the cooking cabin, and one under a metal shroud above the magnetron. While checking continuity with a voltmeter, i questioned one of them behind the control panel and the one above the magnetron. I then noticed a burn mark on the plastic connector sleeve for the one above the magnetron. I took a scrap piece of 14 gage copper wire and beat the ends flat with a...

Thermostat was malfunctioning Larry T. • Frederick , MD • September 19, 2014
We were originally unsure whether our client's issue was related to the thermostat itself or just the light indicator. We at first were only going to order the light indicator, but ordered both parts to be safe, and are so glad we did because it turned out to be the thermostat as well. All is fixed, and the customer is very happy.

Part Number: WP9759944
This fixed thermostat switches near 60C to control a heat-managed circuit—often the oven's cooling/blower fan. Replacing a failed unit restores proper fan cycling and helps protect the control area from excessive heat during and after cooking.
- Monitors temperature in the oven cabinet/control area and switches power based on heat level
- Cycles the cooling/blower fan on and off to manage cabinet temperature
- Helps safeguard electronic controls from heat buildup
- Failure may cause symptoms such as a fan that won't run, a fan that runs continuously, or an unusually hot control area
What's included: 1 fixed thermostat (60C, SPST) Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker before servicing
- Access the thermostat per your model; it is typically mounted to a plenum or bracket near the oven cavity
- Move wires one at a time and mount the new thermostat flat against the surface for accurate sensing
- Restore power and verify the fan cycles during operation

Oven had a burnt out hidden bake element and was not heating properly Christopher A. • Auburn , AL • April 23, 2017
Following the instructions that I received through the helpful research of the APP staff, I disconnected the power, disassembled the back of the oven, and accessed the hidden element. This involved bending parts of the sheet metal and cutting the insulation, so I was very apprehensive about doing this. Once I exposed the compartment that contains the element, I had difficulty extracting the old part and was really nervous about pulling hard to extract it - until I saw the damaged element. It...

Top-heat thermostat that controls the oven's upper heating circuit to maintain proper temperature. Replacing a failing thermostat restores consistent broil/top-bake performance and helps the oven reach set temperatures reliably. What it does

- Restores proper top-heat and browning when a failed thermostat causes inconsistent or weak broil performance.
- Addresses symptoms such as broil not activating, uneven top browning, or the oven struggling to reach set temperatures.
- Works with the oven's control system to maintain safe, repeatable top-heat operation.
What's included One thermostat. Install notes
- Disconnect power to the appliance at the breaker or unplug before starting; allow the oven to cool completely.
- Access varies by model; remove the required control or oven panels to reach the thermostat.
- Label or photograph wiring before disconnecting so connectors are returned to their original positions.
- After installation, restore power and verify proper broil/top-heat operation.
