Removed old handle endcap by unscrewing the two outer screws on the oven door that screw into the endcaps and holds the door together that allows you access the one inner screw that holds the endcap in place. I removed the broken endcsp and replaced with the new one and screwed everything back together. Read more

We are very inexperienced appliance repair people. Thus check it out first to see if we can fixit...successs. First checked to be sure it wasn't the actual switch. The first symptom was our microwave would continue to run after the time was up. The light would go out, the turn table would stop but you could still hear the microwave running and whatever was in it would continue to cook. The only way to stop it was to open the door. It was intermittent at first but eventually it would always run no matter what as long as the door was closed. Several other posts referenced these switches as the problem. Did some Google searches and most comments concerning this issue on LG stoves indicated the high temperature thermostat malfunctions when using the self cleaning function. This malfunction causes complete loss of power for the entire stove and locks the oven door. I ordered this glass and used a youtube video to replace the shattered glass step-by-step. I was a bit wary of doing this work myself, but it proved to be a snap. Within an hour of finding this package on my front porch, I had the oven as good as new. Read more

Removed the bake element and broil element. Tested them with a multi meter. They failed. Ordered new elements. Received them in 2 days. Installed new elements. Oven works great. Entire fix took 10 minutes to remove and test elements, 10 minutes to install the new elements. It was my first time working on an appliance, the instruction videos were great! Read more

I easily unplugged the oven and unscrewed the top and those burners and replaced with new one. I plugged it back and tested them. both are working perfectly now. it was very easy and i did not have to pay for technician and labor. Read more

I first checked the power , we had 220 volt at plug, I removed the back of the stove, checked things out , I found that the stove top burners still worked and the oven light worked. I tested and found that we had current to the timer and clock but nothing on the control worked to set the time, or to turn the oven on or to set the oven temp.
