I called AppliancePartsPros, talked to a technician to validate problem, ordered part. I had a great talk with the technician. Told him I have electrical engineering experience, used to fix pinball machines and that the pinballs and home appliances were the same design, i.e. inductor in series with a switch across the hot lines. New upper dish rack. At 15 years old, the dishwasher is going strong but inevitable wear and tear ruined the dish rack. The video on the website is not specific to my model but I'm a little handy and was able to figure it out. If I had to do it again, I'd rate the difficulty as a 1, much of the time spent was figuring out how to push all the little plastic lock tabs and switching the rollers and upper water jet assembly from one rack to the other. - Didn't see any other leaks in machine. No grinding transmission noise. Assumed seal on transmission shaft was bad, since it was a central leak down the rotor. It was a little more difficult to dissemble than the video showed, but not too bad. Got it all back together and seems to be working well. No leaks yet. Didn't need washer in parts diagram - was already on the transmission. Also the drain pump filter was not necessary, it can just be cleaned. Read more

We tried replacing the pump. That didn't work. We then replaced the control board & that fixed the problem. Read more

Slid the oven out. Opened the control panel. Shut the power off. Replaced the switch. reversed the steps. Read more

Performed diagnostic continuity tests on fill valve and overflow switch as recommended. Fill valve continuity test failed. Ordered part Saturday, shipped the following Monday, in my hands by the following Wednesday, installed and operational by Thursday. Great service! Thanks. Read more

I discovered that the water inlet manifold was cracked. Installed the new part which greatly improved the issue but was not completely resolved. Upon further inspection it looked like the arm bearing had seen better days so, since the machine is ten years old I opted to replace the rest of the assembly. Our dishwasher quit working again for the 3rd time recently. We researched on You Tube for similar issue, and possible fixes. We had power to the overlay so we ruled out a thermal fuse as most possible problem. Some mode lights would come on when pushed. Tried a self diagnosis test-nothing. Reset circuit breaker-nothing. The dishwasher would fill with water, and then was silent (during the time you'd expect to hear it washing. Cancel/draining worked fine too. I assumed it was the pump/motor that had failed.
