Replacement water inlet valve that controls water flow into the refrigerator's dispenser and ice maker, restoring proper filling and preventing overflows. Direct-fit design replaces the original valve on compatible Whirlpool refrigerators. What it does:
- Regulates water flow from the household supply to the refrigerator dispenser and ice maker.
- Opens when the dispenser or ice maker calls for water and closes to stop flow and prevent overfilling.
- Common symptoms: no water from the dispenser, slow/weak fill, ice maker not filling, or water leaking at the valve.
- Designed to match the original valve's function and plumbing connections for straightforward replacement.
What's included: One water inlet valve. Install notes:
- Disconnect power to the appliance and shut off the water supply before starting any work.
- Use basic hand tools to remove and reinstall mounting screws and water line fittings; support lines to avoid stress on fittings.
- Inspect and replace any damaged O-rings or supply tubing; tighten fittings securely but avoid overtightening.
- After installation, turn water on slowly, check all connections for leaks, then restore power and verify dispenser/ice maker operation.
