Whirlpool Washer Parts

I first checked to make sure the washer was level. The washer is on a concrete floor. After watching lots of you tube videos I ordered all the parts that could be causing this problem. I ordered: Balance Ring, Suspension Pad Kit (3 rectangle plastic wear pads), Tub Suspension Pads(3 curved plastic wear pads), Suspension Spring, and a Spanner Wrench tool. I ordered the dispenser and the distribution nozzle since the old one was in bad shape. I also replaced the boot since I had to take the entire machine apart and it is 20 years old. • Timer will not advance

After opening the area where the timer was housed, I removed the old timer & replaced it with the new one. The repair was so easy we were back to washing clothes in 10 minutes. Read more

Simply lift up the old filter and cap and discard it. The new assembly simply pushes down and on to the agitator base. It stays in place by clicking over a raised perimeter rib on the base. This is the easiest repair (short of screwing in a light bulb) that one could do. The hardest part was to identify which parts I needed to purchase. After watching a number of videos and reading a lot of trouble-shooting discussions online I had ideas of what to look for as possible causes of the overfilling of the drum. I found the water level pressure hose had worn through after contacting the rotor. After temporarily taping the hose, I found the service manual inside the machine so I ran it through it test sequences without any error codes. Ordered a new drain hose and extension part. The prices including shipping were more reasonable than driving back and forth to the store just to piece meal parts together. Very frustrating. Removed LP Orifice and LP Gas limiter. Orifice was easy, however the gas limiter was the tricky one because I had no instructions to what went where. I could not find anything online as to how to convert from LP to Natural Gas, but you could find several things as to how to convert from Natural to LP. Washing machine pump failed with the washing machine full of water. Replacing a pump used to be a bear of a job with belts, pulleys, etc. but I thought that I should give it a look before I called the repairman. Replaced the drain pump and the drain hose (since I was replacing the drain pump). The new drain pump seems to pump out the water more forcefully than the one replaced. Have not received a LD code during the wash cycle since the replacement was installed. Read more

First remove the back from the washing machine. Top of the machine came off simple. To replace springs, I took a crow bar but it on the right side underneath where one of the springs should be. Lift the tumbler up remove and replace the spring. Did the same thing to the other side. On the tumbling unit there are spaces for three shock absorbers. Mine only had one shock in the middle.
