My Kenmore washer had three problems and thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com videos I was able to repair all three. The washer coupler was defective so I replaced it. This topok about 30 minutes. The washer lid switch was defective. This took about an hour. Finally, the motor was defective. I was able to disconnect the motor from the transmission and test the motor by leaving the wiring connected and run a wash cycle. The motor was dead. I removed the old one by lifting up and setting aside. I opened the box and set new part in place. There were no screws and other parts to assemble and the install was very easy! Read more

After doing quite a bit of research and asking appliancepartpros forum if I needed to add a screw when installing, and receiving the answer the next day that is was not necessary, I snapped the part in place and went on with life. Read more

A buddy of mine gave me a washer and said if you can fix it you can have it, It doesn't spin. I tried running a spin cycle and found that it did try to spin but was very noisy. I disassembled the washing machine and found that the tub seal had gone out and took out the bearings with it so I ordered a new tub and seal kit and while I waited for that I proceeded to disassemble the rest of the washing machine and clean everything so when the new parts arrived it was ready and waiting. Replaced the bellow without having to remove any of the panels. Was able to make the repair from the front of the machine by just removing the 2 clamps that hold the bellow seal in place. Read more

Started out as a replacement of the coupling between the motor and the basket transmission ( 2 of the 3 legs on the transmission side broken.. )... Bought a new pump, since I would have it off... or so I thought.. Metal output shaft into pump + years of moisture = pump rusted on. Put it all back together - runs fine... for a while.. Then the old pump bearings burn out. Back apart.. Cut the old pump off the motor. Reinstall everything... Nothing, Just sits there and buzzes... Now... Read more

Went on internet, found a great site and learned that the cold water hose filter was very much clogged at the machine intake. Cleaned it and voila. Ordered an extra filter from Appliance Pros.com and literally was amazed that it arrive within 2 days of my internet order. Great efficiency and customer service….great experience. Removed front of dryer panel, removed top, and removed drum. Replaced motor and wheel, because the old wheel was rusted on the motor shaft, and could not be removed, so I had to break it off. Replaced motor, and reassembled. Everything works now. I also replace the switch-Pb, because the start button was getting stuck. Read more

Ice buildup inside the freezer was caused by warm air beneath the freezer contacting cold air from inside the freezer the resulting condensation freezing and blocking the drain, causing the ice buildup inside. The revised drain tube functions as a p-trap to prevent cold/warm air interaction.... Read more

Removed cover from Whirlpool washer (~20 years old) and found water to be leaking from hose connection at Break Vac. Obviously the hose had to be replaced but the Break Vac looked corroded and partially plugged, too, possibly inhibiting water flow. While the cabinet was off I noticed the Suspension Spring was rusted off so I ordered 1 of those, too. I ordered a new timer knob from Appliance Parts. The knob came, and I went to my washer and screwed it on. That took about 35 seconds. Everything is fine now! Read more
