I purchased the lid latch assembly and the lid switch strike. Following the clear video instructions for each part, my handy teenage son was able to remove the lid latch assembly and replace it with the new part as well as the lid switch strike. Ordered the springs and shocks. Noticed that the washer had placement for 4 springs, but the factory only installs 2 (or they forgot to install the other two on my machine). If you replace the springs, be sure to check for the spring bracket mount. You will also need those. The washer is running fine. Next I'll work on the dryer. Read more

This should be plastered all over the place and every owner of a front end washer should be advised or a recall should be issued about this. As I opened the top of my washer to fix a F35 error by replacing the water level switch, which worked out great and it fixed the issue, I noticed a rusting spot at the bottom of the washer just under where the motor is placed. Bought new Transmission/gear box. Putting in the new one was easy. Taking the old one out was a nightmare. The corrosion on the spanner nut and drive block was awful. Ten years of VERY hard water and six kids made for a lot of corrosion and hard water crystallization. I do not own a spanner wrench. I am not sure having one would've helped. We watched a YouTube video on how to replace the door latch. Very simple to do. We had to remove the metal band holding the door gasket to be able to access the latch. After removing the band, we pushed aside the gasket and removed the screws to the latch and the connecting cables. To install the new part, we just reversed the process. First I check with Appliance Part Pros, watch videos how to access the parts I believe to be the problem. I love there videos and parts list of solutions to fix what it wrong. First I removed the washer from the laundry room and but it in the garage for more room to work on it.
