This is the washer's water level switch that senses tub level via air pressure and provides five selectable fill settings. Replacing a failed switch restores accurate filling and lets the cycle advance properly through wash, rinse, and spin.
- Monitors air pressure from the tub to detect actual water level
- Controls the inlet valves to start/stop filling at the selected setting
- Signals the timer/control to begin agitation and advance the cycle once full
- Common symptoms: overfilling or water keeps running, stops filling too soon or won't fill, inconsistent water levels, cycle won't advance due to incorrect level detection
What's included: 1 water level pressure switch with 5-position rotary selector Install notes:
- Disconnect power and turn off water supply before servicing
- Access the control console; remove the selector knob/dial and panel as needed
- Note wire locations (take a photo), move the harness, and transfer the pressure hose; ensure the hose is clear and firmly seated
- Securely mount the new switch, reassemble the console/knob, restore utilities, and test each fill level
