I finally decided to repair my dishwasher because the door would free fall to the floor possibly breaking the hinges. Also the top shelf was rolling out on its own every time the door was opened. Replaced both sets of door cams on my Kenmore Elite Refrigerator. The most important thing to know is that you DO NOT have to remove the doors from the refrigerator to replace BOTH sets of cams. You just have to remove the lower grill which is a snap fit (I also turned off the water and unplugged the unit). My fridge has an ice and water dispenser where the water and electrical lines go through the cams on the left side. Be sure to order the correct parts as the cam holes on the freezer side... I ordered the new hinge and the cap they said would be needed, took the door apart and installed new hinge. Only problem, wish they told me I needed 4 of the caps, for one hinge and each cap was 11.95 x 4...pretty spendy. Fortunately I was able to reuse 3 of my worn ones for now. Read more

Following the very clear and concise Video from AppliancePartsPros.com, I was able to insert the friction pads that had fallen off from the dishwasher door. It now works. The next project may be to replace the rollers of the Dish Rack which are now a little bit worn out. Read more

I knew for sure that the hinge with the large spring was damaged, but elected to replace both hinges and receivers. Replacing the parts was fairly easy and would have taken me less then an hour. This model has thin metal covers over the hinge assemblies. I found that squeezing in the sides of the covers help to hold them in place on the hinge while reassembling the door. I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. Used floor jack to lift and secure door, left upper hinge point in place, removed lower hinge support, removed old cams and installed new ones and lubricated, secured and adjusted hinge . Read more

The part came within 3 days. The fix was straight forward ...unscrewed the hinge from the dryer then from the door and replaced with new hinge and the door closes the way it should. Read more

I ordered the hinge on the weekend and it came on Tuesday in the late Morning. I loved how quick it arrived. The swap out of the part took 10 minutes using a batter powered driver, a #2 Phillips tip and a T-25 tip. If you use hand tools, it will take a few minutes longer. If I would have realized how easy it was, I would have replaced it when it started sagging instead of waiting for it to break. Read more

I first wanted to get the dishwasher running, before ordering the spring links. So I disassembled the pump / motor assembly to determine the reason the motor would not start. My wife cleaned all of the parts in the pump assembly. I took the motor apart and discovered that the lower bearing ( a sleeve type bearing) was dry and dirty, and was the culprit for the motor seizing.
