Delivers water from supply line to dishwasher tub. Replace if cracked, leaking, chewed by rodents, or damaged during installation or moving.
Dishwasher washer would not drain after hearing glass-like particles during the drain cycle despite trying to clean the cylinder filter. Originally suspected the drain motor was damaged. After watching a video on how to replace the drain pump, I carefully energized the dishwasher (from water and electricity) then removed the dishwasher to take a look. After removal of drain hose from the pump, discovered that drain hose was connected to water inlet assembly which also needed removal to... Read more

Freezer icing up and fridge running warm? This defrost thermostat regulates defrost cycles to prevent frost buildup. Takes about 30 minutes to install.
After we moved into our new home, we realized that the freezer was very cold and the fins were frosting over, and the refrigerator wasn't cold. We had to take it apart and manually defrost it about once every 8 to 10 days. After research online, we found Appliance Parts Pros videos, which clearly explained how to fix it ourselves, a savings of at least $1,000 or more, since a new one of this size would have been in the arena of $1,200 to $2000. We ordered the three most likely parts to be bad,... Read more
Refrigerator making noise or not cooling? A broken condenser fan blade prevents air circulation. This friction-fit part installs in minutes—no tools needed.
I pulled the refrigerator out, removed the back panel, disconnected the fan motor. I did not know how hard or easy it would be to remove the fan from the motor shaft so I removed the motor with the fan attached and then removed and replaced the fan. This would not be necessary if you have a lot of strength, but if you need leverage to push the fan down on the shaft you might want to disconnect and remove the motor fan assembly too. After replacing the motor assembly and reconnecting I tested by... Read more

Fridge not cooling but freezer works? Squeaking or chirping noise? A failed evaporator fan motor stops cold air circulation. DIY repair with video guide.
My KitchenAid refrigerator was not cooling, but the freezer was working perfectly. The help section here listed three parts that could be defective–defrost thermostat, evaporator fan motor and blade, and air diffuser/damper control–so I replaced them all. The videos were EXCELLENT, and despite the difficulty I had squeezing my shoulders into the small freezer compartment, I installed the parts and my refrigerator is cooling perfectly! THANK YOU FOR THE EXCELLENT REPAIR VIDEOS! I am so happy... Read more

Microwave not heating food? A faulty high voltage diode disrupts power conversion. Common DIY repair requiring discharge safety and multimeter testing.
After dismounting the unit from its wall-hanging bracket, the most tedious part of the repair was removing over a dozen screws holding the cover in place from the top, bottom, and both sides. Fortunately, I had placed the unit on a bench that allowed me to slide the unit allowing access to the screws on the bottom edges of the unit. Always discharge the capacitor before continuing to work on the unit by discharging the capacitor by shorting the contact without the diode to ground. Access to the... Read more
Oven not heating or baking unevenly? The bake element provides bottom heat for baking. Easy DIY fix—just 2 screws and wire connectors. Takes 15 minutes.
1) ordered new boiler element after searching for oven/stove model # online 2) unplugged oven 3) removed 2 screws holding element in place 4) pulled out the element and a length of wires attached to the element (enough that the wires wouldn't pull back into the hole after detached) 5) used needle-nosed pliers to detach wire clamps, noting which wire attached to which side of the old element 6) removed old element and its pieces from the bottom of oven 7) attached wires to new element,... Since finding out pulley on motor is factory installed, I had to order a new motor with new pulley on it. Burner not heating or 'Hot Surface' light stays on? This electric cooktop surface element is likely the fix. DIY-friendly, most installs take 15 minutes.
Turned off power supply. Removed two screws (near the oven door) holding the ceramic top. Slid the top forward, disengaged the two power supply cables, and removed one ground wire. Removed range top, and put on a flat surface. Unclamped two power supply wires, one ground wire and one thermocouple wire from the element. Unscrewed the bracket from the element, and remove the element from the range top. Remove the two clamps from the old element, and put them on the new element at the same... Read more

First off I have to say that Appliance Parts Pro's saved me from hiring a repair person, and quite possibly just getting rid of my washing machine. Their video's helped out SOOOOOOOO much and the advice one of their agents gave me over their online chat helped me trouble shoot something when I got stuck. On top of this they shipped my parts fast enough that less than 12 hrs later they arrived, which allowed me to get my machine up and running way faster than the other options I had available.... Metal hinge assembly that mounts to the oven door frame, enabling smooth opening and closing. Replace if cracked, broken, or no longer holding door securely.
I have a Jennair jjw9630cas double wall oven, and after a few years I noticed that the light would not go out, first in the bottom oven, and then in the top oven. After doing some research I discovered this was not uncommon, and the fix usually involved replacing the hinges and/or the hinge receptacles. It didn't look like a difficult fix so I ordered four new hinges and four new receptacles, which arrived quickly. I found a video on YouTube that showed how to replace the hinges and it... Read more
Fix leaks around the dishwasher motor or poor spray pressure with this impeller and seal kit. DIY-friendly repair takes about 2 hours with basic tools.
My dishwasher quit cleaning dishes and lost all pressure. The food screen would keep clogging up and I would have to take it out and clean it by hand. After putting a new impeller in, the "gears" on the impeller connected with the screen blades, the old impeller the "gears" were stripped off. And the new impeller comes with new seals, after taking old one out I noticed it wasn't long before my old seals would have started leaking. Very simple repair if you watch the great video that... Flexible tube connecting the drain pump motor to the sump in your dishwasher. Replace if cracked, leaking, or damaged to restore proper water drainage.
It was a learning experience. First I turned off the power! I removed the lower kick plate, disconnected the drain hose and electrical connectors. Then removed the discharge pump and heat sensor then loosened the 4 hold down arms/clamps. Then I opened the door and pulled the base up from the inside. Now to remove and replace the Pump Motor. Then reverse the process. If I were to do again, I'd pull the dishwasher out and lay it on its back. Read more
